Florrie early 20th century diamond cluster engagement ring
The distinctive silhouette of Florrie, our antique engagement ring dating from the early 20th century, is what is historically known as a marquise shape. Here, its elliptical contours are traced in old brilliant cut diamonds, with the marquise setting enclosing a smaller diamond shape in the centre, in which a larger old brilliant cut diamond is set. Look closely and you can see the delicate hand engraving at the heart of this unique ring, with millegrain detailing – a technique used to create a pretty textural effect through a line of beading – decorating the border of the diamond shape.
